softaill covert. oil level

hay guy's when u change your oil do u pull the plug on the lower end? and how much old oil can remain, and do u trust the oil stick.

Add only 2 quarts, should be about half way up the dipstick, crank the bike, idle for a couple minutes to fill the filter, let sit for about 5 minutes and top it off ONLY HALF WAY UP THE DIP STICK WHEN COLD  !!  When its hot it should be up to the full line. Takes a long ride to heat up to operating temp. Overfilling will blow oil out the air filter.
