I remember reading in the Daytona newspaper that the city ruled against Vendors in the Beach Street Park permanently. This could be looked at again in the future but current planning called this the Art & Business area and said it would not be appropriate for Bike or SpeedWeek Vendors. I feel this will never change, the Center for the Arts along with the New Insurance building, the somewhat remodeled little restaurant/retail areas also were not geared to Bikeweek Visitors.
Seems the Beach Street good times are over. The few remaining shops are small and don't draw many visitors. Seems a shame.
