2016 version vs 2015
« on: November 17, 2015, 11:48:30 AM »

What are some of the price ranges you guys have seen for the 2015 and 2016 version so far? The price of the motorcycle as well as the OTD price?

Those with the tire pressure sensor, feel it is worth going for a newer model over the 2015?

Does switching to a detachable tourpak on the 2016 require the use of adding rear turn signals?

2015 - 16 differences:  Re: Changes - '16 versus '15?

Yes.  The tour pak detach kit includes signal lights that attach to your bags.

I read the the 2015 price section but haven't seen a posting on what some 2016 prices people are paying currently.

Saw on on the 2015 that looks like two guys averaged 34K which is a great price, not getting close to that with my current dealer.

Don't bother with the detachable kit. It only comes with red lenses. While it appears to be cheaper to buy the kit, you will want to buy the lights with smoke lenses and the lights are a sealed unit and the lenses aren't interchangeable. I bought the kit thinking I could change lenses, ended up buying separate smoke lights and sold the red on eBay. Net cost was $25.00 more than parting out the project.

Yes, unless you do not want rear turn signals.  The 15 comes with bullet turn signals and the 16 does not.

Here is a conversion I did with out using the Kit, much cleaner looking in my opinion.

i just got a 16 rgu cvo it set me back 36,700 otd took four days of pinning 3 dealers in florida against each other. the detachable tour pac kit comes only with red turn signals so to match your smoked sense you would need to purchase new lights on top. i ran the numbers at that point its cheaper to buy everything separately
