Has anyone ever painted their 04 inner fairing matching orange? If so lets see.

Not an 04, but I did redo my 05 from the factory dark cherry to the light cherry. Made a huge difference in looks.

Do you have a pic of that?

Thanks.

That looks great! I always thought the inner fairing should have been painted the lighter cherry from the factory. I don't know why they couldn't have realized that from the factory? Just like the 2010 CVO red Street Glide. They painted the inner fairing black on that one and it should have been red also.

IMHO it depends on the color involved.  Anyone who has ridden a 2005 FLHTCSE2 "Banana" on a bright sunlit day can understand why a darker and less reflective color might have been a smarter choice.  Sitting on the showroom floor it really looked sharp, but looks have to be tempered by other factors, like not blinding the person riding it or at least not causing eye fatigue.  There's a reason why auto companies use duller colors and less reflective materials on the instrument panel.  To each his own.

I did mine. IMHO should have been done this way when new.

Just look at 09 SERG they had Electric Orange inner fairing. Jerry is right about reflection, but I liked the high metallic inner myself.
