FLSTSE2 rear turn signals run/stop/turn
« on: December 15, 2015, 10:33:11 PM »

I have a 2011 FLSTSE2.

There are 2 x 4 pin connectors between the main harness and the rear turn signals (left and right).
4 wires run to the connector...blue (running), blue/red (brake), violet (turn), black (earth)?
Only 3 wires run form the connector to the rear turn signals...blue, violet and black.

Q.1 What wires run to where? I assume black to black and violet to violet. If I plug blue to blue the running lights work and blue/red to blue the brake lights work...but not both.

Q.2 Are there other wires and/or a unit missing?

Any help and/or photos is much appreciated...Cheers...

You might move this to Electronic Toys and Gadgets.  Lots more people will see it there and you might get an answer.  Good luck.

The wiring diagram in the service manual would answer your questions.  I don't have one for your bike but your dealer should be able to tell you.

You didn't say what you're trying to do but you might want to look at the Custom Dynamics website for products that change haw your rear lights work Good luck and Happy New Year!
