Adjustable passenger floorboards
« on: April 15, 2016, 08:49:49 AM »

On the new adjustable passenger floorboards, is it possible to remove the swing arm and install the floorboard directly to the mount?  My wife is not happy with the forward position and to move it rearward it raised her feet about 3 inches.

Thanks.

It almost looks like you can remove the arm and bolt the footboard support directly to the bracket.... I'll have to go mess with mine now..lol

I changed the position of mine this weekend. I didn't study them very well, but I think if the boss or nub was ground off you would able to swing them 360. I didn't like that the boards could only go up/back or down/forward. Would like them to go back even further. I have a 5 ft misses and trying to fit them to her.

This is a simple fix. My wife also prefers them to the rear. You just switch the left and right mounting arms side to side. This puts the mounts "behind" center and you can adjust height accordingly. Easy peasy, take about 5 minutes and it also makes it better for the rider because he has more room between the mount and your legs when feet down at a stop light.
I think this is better than grinding off the peg stop, takes less time and does not create a rust point. (I know this because...)

CVODON that why I like reading these boards. Sometimes I have trouble seeing the trees through the forest. Excellent idea/observation I will give it a closer look and switch this weekend. Might work well also for the op.

Switching the left and the right is such a brilliant yet simple solution. That is why this site is so invaluable. Thanks.

Bastos, My 5'2" back seat rider is interested in adjustable pegs to go with the boards.  Is your pic a Rushmore CVO and are those Kury pegs.  They say they will not fit with CVO boards??  Maybe post a closeup pic.

I had them on my 2009 CVO Ultra Classic, but "K" does not list a product for the 2015 CVO Limited

That was my 2011 Limited. I installed the CVO style passenger mount to accommodate her shortness. And it looked classy and was chrome.
Installed a set of Kury adjustable pegs to help her have more than one foot position.
I don't care if it was my mother, you don't rest your feet on the crash bars with your heels on my painted saddle bags.
