To each his own, I think it looks cheap, Just won't hold up in the sun and heat. Doing high end cars, that are seldom if ever driven is not, to me, a good comparison.
Hopefully we ride our bikes and park in the sun, often.
Once again to each his own, but the cost of this stuff at times.. you could repaint a saddlebag lid if you ever needed to.

Anyone ever use this product for the saddle bag lids?  http://www.xpel.com/    . . .  I'm careful but you know.... Sh*t happens.

Looked into Xpel and talked with our local installer, no pre-cut kits available but said he could cut and install.
Asked if he knew about "Hog Skins" (which he didn't) but offered to install should I purchase.
Considering their product as a option, but contacting to learn more about what they offer.

Might be a option to look at?

I'm pretty sure tdkkart uses that on his bikes and likes it.

Had xpel installed on my 2015 cvo roadglide.  Proform has the templates,  not many shops do bikes because it is time consuming.  Installer recommended a paint sealant, I 'll post product later.  Cheers

What I forgot to mention, is that Xpel, unlike others, is self-healing.  That's a big thing!

Those pics are great.  Doesn't even seem like anything is on the paint.  (Is it in fact self-healing, if it's the Xpel version?)

Xpel Ultimate is self healing (I believe that there are different grades of Xpel).  I have the whole front end of two cars wrapped in it.  2 years on one and 1 1/2 on the other.  The self healing part works, as long as it's not all the way through.

I just had Xpel installed on the saddlebag lids.  I had purchased a complete kit of Scotchgard PRO.  I started on the saddlebag lids and they came out terrible.  I took the bike to a shop that does clear bra, graphics, etc., to see if they could install the rest of the kit.   They did install the rest of the Scotchgard PRO kit and made new pieces for the saddlebag lids out of Xpel.  I have to say the bike looks good BUT the Xpel on the saddlebag lids looks much better than the rest of the bike that's covered with Scotchgard PRO.
I had done my 2010 EG classic with the regular Scotchgard and it came out great, and still looks good 6 years later.  The PRO is a different animal.  MUCH harder to work with, even for the professional installer.  Next time it will be ALL Xpel.
