MV weather in November

Question for all that are lucky enough to live in the Smoky Mountains. Wife and I are looking to have a week off in November and are looking at the Maggie Valley area as kind of a place to wonder in and out of. What would be the normal for temperatures in that area in November? How much sand is on the roads bu then if any? We are talking back and forth about if it would be worth loading the bike up and taking it or not.
