Thanks for the heads up.  Update downloaded and installed.  Looking at the list of things this update fixes/creates/replaces, the feature that I like the best is the lawyer blurb cuts itself off after 15 seconds...

After the update on my 2016 CVO SG, the Sirius Radio preset column on the right side reset to "PREVIEW" on all four pages. 

The left column is fine.

Mine is just the opposite, left says preview, right side displays the correct channel...and they won't let me re-program them either.

I guess I should know better and should treat these updates like an iphone software update, wait a week before doing the update so that you can be sure they don't cause more issues than they fix....

Did you guys power down the radio and then reboot it first? I tried to adjust the autozoom setting on the nav and it would freeze up the whole radio until I did a reboot for the changes to take effect.

Mine does the same thing but if you enable the global presets in setup it works fine and you can program all types of media on one page.

You probably have a downloads folder that it automatically saves in. Should be in there. Then open it and save the large file to the USB drive.

Anybody else have issues with the latest update?
Since I did the update a week or so ago, my preset stations don't show up. I listen almost exclusively to XM. Presets 1-6 all show as "Preview".
My preset stations are there when I go to 1 for instance but it doesn't show as the XM station label.

Any ideas to fix? Go back to previous update? Reload 1.20?

By the way I have tried checking and unchecking "Global Presets" with no help with my issue.

To get my preset XM stations back this is what I did:

Preset 1 (let's say it was originally XM station 3 before the update)

I went to XM station 2, pushed radio button 1 and stored XM station 2 (that freed up station 3 that you really wanted).

Then I toggled to XM station 3 and stored it by pushing the #1 button on the radio.

Did this process for each button.  If this is not what you want, maybe someone else will help.

After I did the above, my preset stations are back as well as the correct name on each button (no longer says preview)..

Is this as involved as the NAV update or just download the CVO premium sound software to my usb drive and plug in?

So not sure why I'm having trouble installing the Boom Audio software from my usb 32gb drive.  I even removed all the NAV update and Fingerprint info from it so there is nothing else on the drive.  I did do this from my Mac, but it doesn't seem to be incompatible as the NAV update was.  Anything I'm doing wrong?  Do I need a fingerprint by chance in order to do this?

Well, reformatted my USB 3.0 32gb to Fat32 via my Mac, reinstalled the 1gb software and was able to do the update successfully.  It seems like I didn't lose any settings or presets!  Yay!

My gps acted up coming back from MV GTG. I loaded the new software last week. I always keep my maps turned north up. About halfway back home and noticed the map looked funny and figured out the infotainment had turned north to the left side of screen. Not changing just stayed that way. Odd thing was north arrow was still pointed up.  I rebooted the infotainment and reloaded my destination and that corrected it.

What do you mean by "rebooted"?  You just shut the bike down and restarted the bike and nav?

Yes I was coming up on a break anyway.  I don't know exactly how long it has to stay off to go back to a full boot up.  I think it does not completely shut down by holding the power button or a quick shutoff bike and restart. Anyway it's never done this before this update and it self corrected with the restart.

Mine has done this for the last two riding seasons.  I've found that it will correct itself if you go to any other page and come back.  The most convenient way I've found is to push the "info" button, then return.  The map is then oriented correctly again.

Mine has done this several times, and I don't know why, but these simple steps correct it.

Successfully updated BoomBox software.
HD have still not fixed the inability to enter a Zip code directly into the address field.
Have to go to Xroads and enter code in there.
Maybe next update will fix that.Maybe is a long time.

Have you checked to make sure the Nav prompts are turned on and that the volume for the prompts are turned up.  After u do and update you will have to reset some of your settings.

OK, so I'm doing the update right now.  I also noticed a 'dealer location update' which downloads a zip file called 'NaviSync.zip.'  How do I install this update?

Well Both updates are complete every thing went smooth this is the way i did it.
I have not road tested yet But did go thru a bunch of things and everything looked good all my settings were the same as before update

1 download both files
2 unzip 1.20.2 copy just the ISO file to the ROOT of  thumb drive only file in root
3 turned bike on accessory  hit accept plug in thump drive follow prompts
4 back to computer Remove ISO file from root
5 unzip location POI file copy both  NAVISYNC folder and the SWDL.ISO file to root of thumb drive
6Back to bike turned bike on accessory  hit accept plug in thump drive follow prompts

I did those exact steps...  The software download went fine.  Now the dealer location update is stuck in "Authenticating".....  You know it shouldn't be this difficult.

Good to know about dealer update I have been following a tread about the dealer update on another group and they were having a problem if maps were not up dated. I posted that info for the person that was stuck at Authenticating the dealer update Just somethings to try.

Stuck authenticating.... I had this problem. 2014 CVO Limited which I have updated maps once last winter....

First what I had done- uploaded and installed the radio update. Then I tried the Navi Sync update but got some - non-readable files messages. Tried a few different ways to download it on to the thumbdrive, including opening files and downloading only the largest "SWDL" file. Still stuck. 20 minutes and nothing.

SO now for the fix-
Checked my files in bike.
Starting with HOME: Setup (upper right): System Info: Navigation.
Inside I found:
Navsoftware- 9.10.14.659374
MapDatabase NACVO-MY2016
Dealer Database DLR-2015-Q1

Went back to my computer- still the NAVISYNC on the desktop I had downloaded from Harley,
Running Windows 10,
Formatted Thumbdrive (8g) so it was blank,
right click on NAVISYNC and selected Extract All
The pop up box named a folder but I browsed and picked the thumbdrive (E for me)
When it loaded I got two items in the thumbdrive.  Navisync and Swdl

Back out to bike. Set on ACCESSORY, waited for radio power up. Accepted the death statement. Radio plays, Hit Navigation and got "Navigation not ready message, waited it out. When the screen came up I inserted thumbdrive, flash of something, checked the files and authenticated in less than 30 seconds and updated after I hit YES.

When done I checked and all the data bases the same except - Dealer database is now DLR-2016-Q3.

Thank you all, I will try it again from scratch today.  On my first try I had the Dealer Locator info on the thumb drive WITH the newest software download.  I'm wondering if that didn't mess something up?  The software load went fine.  Now Ive taken the software off the thumb drive and trying the dealer info.  I do have a ton of routes and waypoints in my navigation, I think I'll clear all that out before trying it again...  I do have the old maps and am hoping to load the new ones but I have a mac so that is problematic also.

Thanks to this advice the dealer update worked for me.  The first time I did it, was stuck on authenticating, until I read Chuck's advice and added the Navisync folder also and worked then.  Thanks Chuck.

I installed the latest update and the issue I am having is after the bike starts up the radio will turn off and will not turn on.  I press the power button and nothing happens.  If I turn the bike off for about a half hour and start up the radio works fine.  It happened to me three times in one day.  Luckily it happened when i took the bike in for service.  The dealer is looking at it now.

Curious if anyone has successfully completed an update by downloading the file to a Mac versus PC.  I have only used a PC to this point as I had heard that the Mac environment wasn't supported.  Thinking of trying something different this time.  I've successfully downloaded the file to my Mac just haven't copied to the flash drive yet.  Wondering if the file format will be different and get rejected when trying to import into the bike.

My understanding is that you can do the firmware 1.20..2 update with a Mac But you can not do the Map update or the Dealer POI update with the MAC. I do not have a Mac but there is plenty of info about it on all the forums.

It is doable on a Mac. Problem is it required my 13-year-old daughter's help to do so. And I can't even begin to describe what she did to convert it to a compatible file. But she did and I loaded it and it worked.

Major glitch

 I did the up date a few days ago sat in the shop and played with the system few times each day everything worked great. Went to leave on bike this morning system comes up black screen and logo
nothing on system works  shut bike off screen still on bike tried factory reset would not work Decided to pull the main fuse waited
min or 2 put it back together and it has worked perfect all day on
and off many times.

The reason for the report is because there are a number of owners that are seeing  this and some whose systems do not come back on so I would hope there would be a quick fix. Big BUG But if you have it happen I would try the pull the main fuse procedure.

3 days after the dealer did this update (1.20.2) the radio would not turn on, worked ok for the 3 days prior to today.  Finally got the radio on then no speaker sound.  Radio is set to play through speakers only.  Dealer put the old software back on the bike, all ok this morning & all day riding. Said that there were some glitches in the early versions of this update, they had the most recent "ok" version (1.20.2) but I elected to stay with the older version 1.20.1 since it worked ok & did not notice any big improvement with that update anyway.

May eventually update to the new version but by then it wil probably be 1.25.40.

Spoke with Harley on the phone for about 45 min today they have just pulled 1.20.2 from the down load site and are working on the fix. So if you have not updated to .2 you should wait for new release.

If you haven't been affected by the bug, should you still go back to the last version?  And is it as simple as downloading the old and doing it the same way as if it were a newer version?

Likewise.  I did the 1.20.2 update and have ridden several times for several hundred miles with no problem so far.  I think I will carry a thumb drive with the older 1.20.1 on it 'just in case' I have to do a roll back.  But like dm930 asked do you just do it the same way?  I would think so but confirmation would be helpful.

Yes you do it the same way as an update.

If you are not seeing the bug I would leave it alone.
If leaving on a trip or ride that you need the system to work I would carry .1 with you.

I have not had any more problems on mine either I am still running .2 but have
.1 on thumb drive in my bag just in case.

I upgraded to .2 and everything seemed to be fine for a couple of days...

BUT THEN while riding, the Low fuel message came up on the display, when I clicked to dismiss it, the whole screen went black and stayed that way.   I tried to shut off the bike and restart at a traffic light but that did not work.

After stopping at a gas station and refueling & restarting, the screen came up and worked fine.

The fact that HD Removed the update from the website was enough for me,  I have flashed back to .1 until they figure it out.
