Not oring it the fitting coming out of crank case into oil cooler

Rumor has it that the oring at the crank sensor is slightly undersized and or not of the correct material. HD is aware of the issue.

Tech that changed the porous cylinder asked HD about torque plates to measure the new cylinder.  HD says no torque plates available and no plans for any.  Also, no oversize pistons will be available from HD.

Ah, the old special "Torque Plates".

It's funny as they needed them for the 117" motors that came out last January.

Fast forward to the M8 motor, not needed!!!

My 17 RG developed a "weep" at the oil line manifold that bolts to the front head.
Took it to my dealer next morning. The dealer tech diagnosed the issue and reported to the MOCO.
The MOCO overnighted a new head, manifold, and orings.
The dealer took care of the issue in A TOTAL OF 3 days from the time I drove in until I drove out.
The MOCO required the dealer to overnight the suspect parts right back to them for evaluation.
It is for this reason I don't suggest repairs by owners. The MOCO needs to know WHY the issue occurred, not that it occurred. Otherwise there is no way to nip the issue in the bud.
Just my opinion,
Bob
BTW - My dealer, Mcguire's HD in Pacheco, CA acted with absolutely top notch service.

Not oring it the fitting coming out of crank case into oil cooler
So the oil cooler isn't fed from an oil filter adapter like the TC are?

A friend if mine took his 2017 Road King for the 1000 mile service and the dealer, Las Vegas Harley Davidson discovered the motor had an oil leak. The dealership removed the motor and sent it back to Harley Davidson 11/12/16 and is awaiting a new motor with the same VIN to be shipped overnight.
