What year, how many miles, any problems
« on: November 23, 2016, 07:03:10 PM »

I've had my CVO Deluxe for a little over two years and have nothing but positive things to say about the bike. What's been your experience with the bike?

Year: 2014
Miles: 13,600
Any problems:
- Had the timing cover replaced under warranty because the chrome was pitting

Same age for my CVO Deluxe, but 25,600 miles.

Very happy of my bike, and very happy of having subscribed for 3 more years of warranty:

Cams, hydraulic lifters, pushrods, chain tensioner are dead, and many signs of wear on other elements, including on one valve stem.
The bike is currently taken hostage by the dealer, waiting for replacing all this stuff...

Also had front fork bearings replaced, last year.

What happened that you need all this work done? What to look for on my 2014 with 3,246 miles on it.

Not sure about the origin, but I've been told that it happens often on 110. It's always a good think to check the cams, the chain tensioner, etc, before the HD mileage preco.

There's a post on HTT about making "heads kinder to valve train". All these problems would come from over strong valve springs...
