Seeping around head bolts
« on: March 26, 2017, 08:32:16 PM »

Has anyone come across this problem.  Both front and rear cylinder.  3000 miles 16 RGU.  Not a biggie just checking with everyone before I take it to MOCO.

If you have not done so already, you might clean it up real good and see if it comes back. With only 3000 miles it could be left from oil on the head bolts from assemble

Yep, there should be a few drops of oil under the head bolt during assembly to assist with proper torque. That looks to be residual oil.

I seem to recall the same thing on my SESG.  I cleaned it up and it never reappeared.  I figured it was just lube used in assembly.

Thanks everyone, I like you replies.  I will mop it up and ride the heck out of it.  Makes since.

Thanks
