I will ask everyone up front to please excuse the photo quality of the shots in this thread!

I took these during our ride on route ES-7 this past week at the Meet In The Middle. It took us south on Hwy 23 to Cass then east on 215 to Oark, then south on Hwy 103 to Clarksville. Hopefully they will bring back fond memories for some of you!

This first one was while gliding down Hwy 23 South toward the start of the Pig Trail. In tow behind me were Mikey (Mike), Lever (John), Dan_Lockwood (Dan Lockwood), Grumpy110 (Rob & Deb), Royal Roadie (John), and Royal Roadies wife Val riding sweeper in the red Austin Mini.

Taking another break after a hike back in the woods to a 50' high waterfall Mikey knew about called the High Banks Twins. A beautiful spot just off Hwy 215 and about 5 miles west of Oark. This spot was at 35.678633 north and -93.687301 east.

A view of the beautiful Mulberry River. They've let the trees grow up unhindered since the last time I was here in 2005. I suppose they do that for erosion control, but it sure ruins the views along the road.

Finally...lunch!
Most of us had the huge and delicious burgers, and I think only one of us had room for the homemade pie, although there were many delicious looking ones to choose from. If you ever get the chance, stop here and you won't be disappointed, just don't get there at lunchtime or you'll have to wait a while for a table!

After lunch, a drive down 103 South from Oark to Clarksville. This is one of the most challenging, fun, and scenic roads you'll ever get on in NW Arkansas, and one you hear little about. The switchbacks give you white knuckles, and the curves and cliffs along the way are just outrageous.

One of the rare but short straightaways on 103 south.

This ends the southern half of route ES-7. We were tired and in a hurry to get back to the Thursday night parade and dinner at the hotel, so I put the camera up and sped up the pace for the northern return route.
