2016 roadglide steering head swing stops
« on: November 15, 2017, 02:25:07 PM »

My 2016 roadglide has suddenly for no apparent reason, allowed the front forks to swing too far in both directions and smashed both fork slider covers against the engine guard. I don’t see any swing stops on the forks or frame and can’t find any pictures or diagrams online. Can anyone tell or show me where they are or what could be broken?

Thanks in advance.

Yep, took the bike to the dealership to flash the ecm for the whim install I did. The lot boy pushed the bike around the corner, ten feet later (out of sight) he missed a 10 ft. Wide garage door opening, the bike hit the wall, fell over. While the lot boy used the handle bar to try to keep the bike from crashing down, it either bent or broke the finger on the steering head that swivels in the frame. The dealer lied through it’s teeth, charged me $1100 and put a mechanic’s lien on it.
Finally just payed it and won’t go back. They’ve screwed everyone since they bought the dealership 4 years ago. There was a time you asked for a oil change Saturday morning and have to wait till Thursday to get it back they were so busy, now you could go there on Saturday asking for an engine rebuild and they’ed Have it back that afternoon.

whoa, i live in la.  what is the name of this dealer?  i don't want to 'accidentally' end up there one day and find myself in similar circumstances.  i can only assume (if you don't want to say the name) that it's the one about 20 miles from gonzales, by inniswold?

sorry to hear about the troubles you've had, is the bike fixed up now though?
