Floor boards

We went on a 1000 mile cruise recently and the heat from the pipes made my wife's boot on the exhaust side come apart. So the guy at the shoe repair shop said that is a very common occurrence with passengers that do not have the floor boards. So who has put on floor boards?

Until you replace your stock 2 into 2 exhaust she will continue to have this problem. I would suggest a system that goes below the right footpeg instead of one pipe over and one pipe under it. Tons of choices out there. Good luck!

bought the Kuryakin  mini boards has lots of adjustments. She is now a very happy passenger as I adjusted them in a perfect position that eliminated 50% of the heat coming to her feet
