    I'm looking at renewing the original speakers (replacing with aftermarket speakers) they got 11yrs on them now and are not sounding as good any more.

Q.1
 Would anyone know if the front speakers are the same dimension as the rear speakers 5.25 inches?

Q.2
 Can I go up a notch or two on the speaker that are 2 ohms that are in it now (stock) say to 4 or 8 ohms without causing any problems?

Any suggestion of speakers to consider?   I'm not going to change the boombox just looking to upgrade the speakers
