Hello All,

I just traded my 15 SGS in on a 16 CVO Street Glide.  They did not have a service manual in stock, but I ordered one.  With the way things are now, who knows when I'll get it.  Anyway, the bake has mini apes on it, but they are too far forward on it.  I would like to rotate them back a couple of inches.  How do you get the  fork lock switch out?  It's a bit different than my last bike, which I have the service manual for.  Thanks.

There's a FB group that has PDF copies of most manuals.......

Harley PDF Manual Trade & Share

Looks like they have the 15 touring.....service, parts, and electrical!

I have a paper copy of my bike's manuals and a PDF on my Ipad

Slide the tank back, remove the switch cover with a screw on each side and slide it back carefully and you should be able to access them, I had a 16 CVO SG, now I have a 19 limited, I will check my manual on it tonight, should be the same.

As noted above, you can slide the dash panel straight back after removing one screw on each end (disconnect wiring to the switches if you want to remove it completely).  You don't have to remove the lock knob, note the dash has a slot for the shaft, unlike older eglides.

That worked!  I didn't have to slide the tank back.  The cover slid back enough for me to get a long hex socket with a ball end to the bottom bolts of the clamp.  That was all that I need to move the bars.  Again, thank you very much.

Yea I know you really don't have to slide the tank back, but it does give you a little extra room to move that panel around, glad you got it
