So yesterday I got curious & pulled my cam cover to see what was going on in there. It's factory spring tensioners & non adjustable push rods. I didn't pull the plate but I'm leaning pretty hard towards factory cams. I'd like to eventually make 110-115 hp & tq. I have a dyno sheet showing 102hp & 107tq which seems pretty optimistic if it's indeed factory cams. I have read about the 575's & they seem like a good option. I'm also interested in bumping the compression a little. Not going crazy & I'd like to keep the factory heads. Thought about sending them to big boyz & having the street port & maybe milling 30 thousandths & installing .030 gaskets. Any reason why that isn't a good idea? Would that be around 9.5:1 static? Would the 575's still be a good option at that point or something else? I have also read that even the 253's perform better with a little more compression. I know any of this would mean needing getting retuned but if I could make a decent bump for around $1500 (me doing the wrenching) I'd be interested.

The CVO 103 has a large open chamber hemi head and ports borrowed from the EVO and twin cam MCR performance heads. They are about 8.3:1 honest compression ratio. It is possible to get the original SE domed pistons to bring it up or use domes meant for the standard bathtub chamber. The 575 Red Shift cam can work great up to 10:1, a huge improvement over stock, now add porting and a larger cam and they move right up the ladder.  Personally I like them with an S&S 585.
