External Breather Install
rayson56:
I had a rare day off today and since it's not exactly riding weather here in Washington I decided to tackle what appeared to be a fairly nominal task. After seeing several suggestions on this site and researching on the internet and U toob It was time to take my Ventilator A/C off again and do what I hope is another upgrade.
I started by removing the little breather hoses that route that nasty hot oil vapor from the breather bolts in the heads back into the throttle body, then marked and removed the backing plate so that I could drill a couple of 1/2" holes in it for re-routing to the out side of the A/C.
After drilling and cleaning up the holes I put a couple of rubber grommets in them for a clean and tight fit.

Then ran some 1/4" vacuum line through to a T on the backside.

Then I ran a piece of 3/8" out and down under the bike. I chose not to use a filter or catch can at least for now, so we'll see if that changes after a few rides. The cost of this upgrade was under $10.
Also the video that I got most of my info from was this one;

Here is a pick of the finished product;
