Accessory Switch
« on: May 03, 2021, 09:33:45 PM »

I've got a 16 CVO SG. When I hold down the trigger switch (description in manual) to engage to accessory mode, seems like I always end up resetting one of the trip meters, which I use for oil changes and mileage. Anyone have a trick for operating this switch without resetting one of the meters? I done it, but it's a nano second between doing it right and not.
             Thanks Jonnierock

I always make sure Im on the total miles or the Remaining miles. Thats my work around that works but its not perfect. Depends if I remember to change to one of those before I turn off the bike.

Same here, if you I am in odometer display or miles till empty I can avoid a trip reset.

I would get caught in the dreaded reset when exiting aux mode, I found that while still in aux mode I cycle all the way through back to total mileage then exit it and all seems well since doing that.

When you're holding your button down wait for the gauge needles to jump then let go works for me

Thanks for the help. Leaving on total mileage is the ticket. If it's on any trip mileage,  i always seem to hold it down a nano second to long, thus resetting it.
