How to add spacer to detatchable mounting point?
« on: May 18, 2021, 07:11:52 PM »

Received the quick detach kit today and all went well with the install....except the final 'adjustment'. The rear mounting points are too close together for the TP rack to latch on without excessive effort. The instructions say to "install width adjustment spacers to each docking point". I already have them with the wide side in.....need more width.

How do I get the docking point apart to add the spacer?

Certainly don't want to clamp in the vise and use vice grips!!

Apparently....you just put it between the bracket and the 'barrel'...hold in place as you tighten it down.....according to the tech at Mountainview.

Seems a little hokey to not have the ID fit the bolt.
