god did we get trashed that night, yours truly in the center with a couple of friends trying a barley wine, at the end of the event, see how little we have in our glasses, and it still kicked my A$$ (the regret is written on my face, and on the bathroom walls)  :puke:  :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2: :huepfenlol2:

A minister was completing a Temperance sermon. With great emphasis he
said, "If I
had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river."

With even greater emphasis he said, "And if I had all the wine in the
world, I'd
take it and pour it into the river."
And then finally, shaking his fist in the air, he said, "And if I had
 all the
whiskey in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river."

Sermon complete, he sat down.

The song leader stood very cautiously and announced
with a smile, nearly laughing, "For our closing song,

let us sing Hymn #365, "Shall We Gather at the River."

LOL

"Whiskey River take my mind
Don't let her mem're torture me
Whiskey River don't run dry
You're all I've got, take care of me

Whiskey River take my mind
Don't let her mem're torture me
Whiskey River don't run dry
You're all I've got, take care of me

I'm drowning in a whiskey river
Bathing my memory's mind in the wetness of it's soul
Feeling the amber current flowin' from my mind
And warm an emply heart you left so cold"

EAGLE1,
What a club, unfortunately my club comes in a bottle, I either drink 'em or toss 'em until I find by best friend.  :huepfenlol2:

I'll drink one (or 2 or 3) for ya this evening, BB, and toast godspeed to your swift return to the nectar of the gods.  Some of my family is also as you so aptly put it - dry.  And unfortunately sometimes that is when I could use a beer.

Uh.........I picked up six cases of Yuengling yesterday for transport up to Kansas, since we can't get it there locally.  4 of us going, so that should be enough for the few days we're there.  Wish I had room to carry them.  They're going in a friends car.  Hopefully he doesn't get nabbed for transporting across state lines.  It is for personal consumption after all, and not resale.

Beer story from yesterday, since Howie asked:

Rode to a little strip of sand south of here yesterday with another couple.
St. George Island.  Ummmmm...... bad beach.......no reason for ANYBODY
to go there for ANY reason.  Well, I tried but.......

Beer consumed by group included: Michelob Ultra, Corona, Dos XX, and Becks Dark.

Mmmmmmmmm.....Becks Dark.

Nice day at a bar on the beach and not all that hot, even with the Global Warming summer upon us.

Clouds brewed so we decided to ride back and about 20 miles up the beach road, they began to spit. We
stopped, donned our rain gear, and ...... no rain.  Ms. Iski said if we put our rain gear on it would not
rain, as usual, and then.....  bottom dropped out.  Rode about 30% of the way home in the rain.
Weather forecast was for 30% rain chances late afternoon/early evening so hey, when the weather
guy gets it right on the money, I give him props.

Good ride, good friends, lots of fun all in all.  May go see Wild Hogs (the movie) again tonight and
take a ride before and after.

I noticed that the first time I saw it, SG.  Honda 50s, man did we used to have some fun on those.......   :huepfenjump3:  It was an ok movie - heard they are making a sequel.

A couple of us or more may forego the movie, take a ride, and catch up with the others to drink some amber nectar of the gods a little later.

Sounds like you could use one of the '08 servicars, you only need to wait a few more days.
