I'm from an area with a lot of Czechs, so Pilsners are usually ok by me.  Will try one of those samplers over the season.

Yeah, go ahead, Czech it out......

Some A/B products give me a headache - Bud & Bud Light mainly.  No idea why, but from experience they appear to be the culprit.

It's the rice!!! the alcohol produced from fermentation of the rice is not the same as Barley, its like drinking Isopropyl :puke: :puke:

I just picked up a sixer of Three Floyds BEHEMOTH Barley Wine. Absolutely one of the best Barley Wines I have ever had, at 10.5% it's not a guzzlin brew, but more of a fine sippin night cap, and at $15 a bottle you wont be poundin em too quick. Barley wines are a real tough beer to produce. Its a hard beer to balance, the excessive amount of barley used to get the alcohol levels up in the double digits usually makes for a sweet finish to the beer, so the trick is to balance it with just the right amount of bittering hops to counteract but not overpower the sweetness. When done right, you know it after just one sip. IMO Three Floyds BEHEMOTH is the Benchmark for which all other Barley Wines should be judged against.

WOW!  $90 a six pack?  You really do like it.  I'd try one at $15.  Beer is the new wine.  Producing high end products in small craft batches and I'm a fan!

Will look for this one, since you rate it so highly.  Love those craft brews when they are well done.

Had some of this at a party last night:

very, very good & will be stocking up on this one.

Good luck to you Naitram!

I'm having a Full Sail IPA at the Moment. Local boys out of Oregon I believe. Has a little citrus kick to it.
