I acquired my first Harley, and I figure I would go for the gusto......And keep it affordable, lol

2006 Ultra Classic CVO

Must be doing something wrong, You want a pic, but I am unable to attach one.......never mind IT WORKED!

Anyhoo....Its a real nice bike. The black candy crimson color. Looks black till the sun hits it, then it is a red metallic, pretty cool.

Had to fix some of the Harley quirks, but nothing out of the ordinary.........for a Harley anyway.

Planning a trip out east next week, so I am hoping she is as reliable as the 87 GoldWing it replaces.

You picked what I believe to be one of the best bikes HD made. It has the dependable 103CVO engine. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Mine went 83k before any major work was done. It now has over 100k on the clock. It still has throttle by cable and no O2 sensors in the exhaust.

By the way, I just picked up a 2018 GoldWing DCT airbag. Excellent bike!  I’m still keeping my 06 CVO Ultra.

Your post mentions a trip back east.  The state flag reflects that you're already back east.  Did you mean a trip west?  Many of us that have done the cross country trips have met up with members of this forum along the way.  And very rewarding to have a "local" show you all the great rides in their area.

Michigan is the mid west. We're headed to Rhode Island, then make our way up to Conn. Go see the largest tesla tower get fired up, then go see some awesome naval museums.

That's what I like to hear! I have the wing up for sale, but I'm in no rush. I'll have to be creative to find storage space.
