2018 TP diagram

I have a 2018 here with the tp that has the color matched light bar trim.  I'm looking to take the painted surround off of the light to get repainted. Is this possible? Does the repair manual show that they separate?

It ain't coming apart. Tape the lens and paint it. That's what my guy did for my '15.

I worked a few hours trying to get it apart and finally put it in oven at 170 degrees for 10 minutes and got it apart but I wouldn't do it again. Use quality 3M Fine line and tape it off. Be sure and scuff the plastic before painting or use a adhesion promoter if you want the paint to adhere and last for years. Tape it off, scuff or use adhesion promoter then retape to provide crisp lines, Apply color coat to area to be painted the remove tape and clearcoat the entire lamp.
