The calipers look great. I'd like to know how you like them once you get some miles on them.

As for the Avon tire wear. They are not a high mileage tire as the compound is soft. On my Soft ail I'd get about K out of tire if I kept the burnouts to a minimum. You and your bike are heavier so that may attribute to the shorter life span. I'm curious as to weather you'll get more miles out of a Metzler. They are definitely a harder compound tire than the Avon. I saw right around K out of my last Metzler 140. It was toast by the time I changed it. Air pressure seems to be real important with Metzler's in comparison to other tires. I ran my front Met a little on the low side and it feathered it pretty quick.
