Welcome Gar, and especially to another SERK! Lots of members scattered around the Bay Area and fairly regular CVO Group rides are done to boost the economy!

Wow - and i thought my move was a culture shock. You're living in Georgia after starting here!

I started in jersey - came out here about 19 yrs ago - and your right they built some incredible roads out here.

We're living on the hill in Los Gatos.

Gar,

Welcome aboard.  There's a lot of us from the Bay Area on the site.  You should have joined a couple of days earlier and came with us on the Ft Bragg ride.  You could have met a lot of us.  By the way, I moved in 1990 from Long Island, so I know how you feel...

My X's brother and family live in Los Gatos ,  you have Bear Creek Gulch at your back door ..killer road.  There is no beating the weather out there , but it was a good choice for family and career to move out here 14 years ago.  I still go out to the left coast to see family and friends.

If you haven't had the chance go down south a bit and check out Carmel Valley Canyon Road , it is a blast. Riding up Mt Hamilton and down the far side over is a great trip too.  Skyline , 84, Tunitas Creek all great.

Theres a great site that has a bunch of good Cal roads :  www.pashnit.com/motoroads.htm -

I never though I'd be riding a bagger and loving every minute - the factory got this one right!

I think most of us could and have said that same thing. ;D  Welcome to the site.......you'll definately enjoy it here.

You don't say which "bay area" however, if it's one of the bays in Calif. and in particular the San Francisco bay area, then you just missed a ride up the coast to Ft. Bragg this past weekend.  Click on this link to see the photos of many of the Nor Cal members of this site and their bikes......  http://www.cvoharley.com/smf/index.php?topic=13090.0

Gar,

Greetings from Southern Georgia or in this case Lower Alabama due to business.  Nothing like having a nice bike and a bunch of other people enjoying it too.  Welcome and enjoy.
