PHAZE surgery
« on: April 30, 2007, 06:06:01 PM »

PHAZE is having heart surgery to repair (hopefully) or replace a heart valve.  Just talked to his son (5 pm central time) and he is still in surgery.  Did not begin his surgery until 1 pm due to to being bumped by a critical patient this morning.

He still has 2-3 more hours in surgery/recovery.  Will post his condition as soon as I hear.  Thoughts and prayers for our friend PHAZE most appreciated.

Many of you know Phaze (Preston), well he is having heart surgery today to get a leaky valve fixed.   I just wanted everyone to keep him in their thoughts and prayers.

I just received a call from Renee (Preston's wife) and she reports that he is now in recovery and the nurse has reported that he is doing well.  Haven't heard from the doctor yet, so still don't know whether they repaired or replaced the faulty valve.  I will update as I have info.

I just received word from Rhnea that the doctor was able to repair Preston's valve, rather than replacing it with a mechanical one.  This is really good news because there will be no "maintenance" like monitoring his blood from now on.

I can relate to that hospital and surgery business......more than I care to.

A prayer going out for Phaze......for a rapid and complete recovery.

Steve, thanks for that great news.  We are rejoicing that our friend has come through this ordeal.  I know Preston will appreciate all your thoughts and prayers.  He told me last Sat that he hopes to be riding that new SERK tomorrow or Wednesday.  Wishful thinking!  But that's a good positive attitude and I am sure he'll be back in the saddle very soon.
