Well, I cant speak for Ironbutt, and my memory's not the best, so cant quote anyone real well, I'm going by the key points of our conversation, hopefully, he will read this thread and post on the matter. I could be wrong on the exact way and costs etc.  that he mentioned. I do know , that it perked my interest. I'm also going the dealership to have them look at my voltage regulator, Ill get in the salesman ear while I'm there and report back.

I was contemplating on not purchasing the CVO in 06. While taking with my potential salesman, he said that I could order anything I wanted and they'd install whatever was selected. Custom Paint, parts, anything in the catalog that was offered........
So to answer, maybe the selected dealer would customize the bike to the owner personal specification.........

I did not think you could order a bike (other than color) and options especially a limited edition motor.  Interesting.

You can't!
You can get the bike into the dealer and have the dealer do the work.   No customs from Harley except CVO's or Shriner's or Military!

That is true but then you will have a boat load of leftover parts!
Anyone with a 96" motor and a 6 speed for sell cheap,let me know.
