EEEWWW I sure hope not. Leather is for womens hand bags not tour packs! ;)

I had a discussion with a bud last night about the rising cost of the SE's and what you get. While we both agree that in our opinions they are not worth it, they will continue to sell. Both of us can afford one but can't justify it (not that anyone can justify a motorcycle). Our train of thought was to "Build" the bike we want, obviously spending the same money if not more! We can't win..........

None of us can, Brother.  It is purely discretionary spending....................but DAMN it is one hell of alot of fun!!!!!!

Wouldn't you think they would carry over the leather look tour pack on the serg if out next year, seems to be the direction their going.
If they really want to make some revenue they'll have the leather again on detachable mount, and then offer the King Tourpak color matched to the SE line as an accessory.

I didn't know that.  Good info to have.  My buddy down in Enterprise "gunshot24" has a scooter exactly like your's.  He has a tour pak, but he must have ordered it expost facto.  He never runs it tho'.
I have the King Tourpak and only use it about once a year when I take a trip. When I purchased my bike I looked at getting the King or the Chopped and decided on the King because the Chopped was $100. more. Figured the only time that I would use/need it would be on trips and the extra space would come in handy.

That isn't at all surprising.  Pay more for less.  I think gunshot's is a Chopped.  I know his GF has a Chopped on her 03 SERK before she traded it for her red Jester.  Gunshot never runs his tour pak, because he says it makes the scooter looklike an old man's bike.  ;D  Old man's bike or not......I like having space to put all my stuff when I travel..............and since I do alot of business travel on my scooter...........I'm really liking it.

I think it would be great to have chopped leather tour pak for a SERG, but it would need to be dimensionally identical to the regular chopped tour pak in order to maintain utlity.  JMO.

I would agree "If they really want to make some revenue" but look at the seuc with the radio below the tourpak with its leather looking tourpak. It's been said before but what if they add abs?

I guess they would have to sell to the public the idea of being able to switch out to different tour paks but not being able to leave them off the bike for that clean slammed look.

Just like they have learned from here that some owners of the CUSE don't like the leather, don't like the tourpak permanently mounted, prefer a fiberglass/plastic tourpak I'm sure they have seen the options available to get around the amp that is under the leather tourpak. So what if they have to find a smaller amp that would fit inside the fairing (like it would be hard since it's already available). ;) They will just charge for any upgrades such as that, and then the price would be extremely more then what the end consumer would have to pay if they did it themselves.

Somewhere it was mentioned (speculation) that the '08 Vrods would have ABS and from what the Vrod owners have been saying it's going to have to be a small(er) unit then what now comes on the H-D Police bikes. If that's the case then maybe they will find some other place that it can be mounted on touring bikes then it is presently mounted on the police bikes (saddlebag). I'm sure if there is a will (spelled out to mean ability to make more revenue) they will find a way. :-\

Hey D00d, I totally agree. However the decisions from moco just dont seem to make sense to me alot of the time. I think they should just let us here a cvoharley.com design and make all the decisions for the cvo line. Heck we'll even let them make all the money, What do ya think?
