Saw an add for this bike the other day, really different looking? Motor is a 106 with 109 torque.

I saw it during Az bike week. The dealer was taking orders for a bike that would not be delivered for at least 6 months. He was not allowed to provide performance specifics leading me to believe that the bike was still in development. A lot of plastic looking parts that should rival the Goldwing. It's an American made Asian clone.

It looks like what would be the baby if a Yamaha scooter mated with Barry Bonds. All bulbous and grown out of proportion in funny shapes in lots of different places and directions. That is an ugly son of a baseball player.

Ed, buddy; they didn't just push the edge. They spun up the throttle, flew over the edge, bounced down the cliff, crashed off a few boulders, slammed through a ravine, got caught in a major flash flood at the bottom, washed up through a rock valley, picked up most of the loose pieces, stuck them all back together and called it a motorcycle.

So true. That is one ugly bike even if it is still air cooled.

I'm going to go against the grain on this one. I think its pretty bitchen, great styling. With that being said will I buy one NO, but there not marketing these to us old Harley guys, it's for the young Ipod, Iphone I,I,I crowd. What did you guys think about the five speed rubber mount Harley that came out in the 80's, capital ugly. I was riding a 50 pan and just bought a 79 shovel FLP. Now look at what we ride, 6 speed, rubber mount, cruise, heated seats, GPS...

Since Victory is one of the sponsers of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride, I rode around 10 or so of the Visions last week on the ride. My impression was they were really quick and VERY quiet. I didn't ride one, didn't have any desire to. I'll post some pics in a bit to give you guys some different views.

The queen alien certainly is a close cousin. Though it's not the one I've got a picture of in my head. There's some chrome domed alien from some show with winged back cheeks/jowls and slanted back eyes that looks like it's such a close species match it could mate with this bike and enjoy the process.

Actually, I think it looks like one of those Cylons from Battlestar Gallactica...but that's just my take. When the Victory dealership here had it's open house about 4 months ago, and has since went out of business already, they had the two Vision prototypes brought in from Minnesota. I sat on both of them and the seat was rather comfortable, but that was the only thing I liked about it. To me it's like a mutated cross between a Goldwing, a BMW, and Cory Ness. It just doesn't make sense at all to me. When you sit in the seat, the windshield feels and apprears to be about a mile away from you. It feels a lot bigger then it is. There's way too much plastic on it. One thing I have to give Victory credit though, they came right out and said that they aren't going after the Harley market, but the BMW/Goldwing crowd. Unfortunately, the dealership here didn't last long enough to even make an impression on the community.

That's much closer. Instead of Vision they should have named it The Centurion. Would've been extra cool if they could make the exhaust sound like that back and forth woob-woob-woob noise they make when their glowing red eyeball oscillates back and forth.

Thanks Shannon. She's doing much better finally. Couple weeks were touch and go. For about a week the docs (even without making any specific diagnosis) were giving the "don't get your hopes up, we've done all we can do" speech. Then finally a little over a week ago she started showing signs of regular and sustained improvement. Last couple of days she's been out walking the yard watering her flowers again. Still a bit weak. But 85% recovered. Considering that I was convinced for awhile that she wasn't coming out of the hospital that's not too bad.

Well this could sell in europe to BMW and Goldwing crowd only if it had 2000 cc 6-8 clynder watercooled 200hp engine with and onboard iphone.I mean they got it all wrong they should have made an american style iron bike with a jap engine than it would kinda make sense maybe lol.

I do give Victory credit where credit is due - the Vision is totally unique. Most of the metric manufacturers who are in the heavy weight motorcycle market with cloned H-D look-a-likes have no individualism or identity unto themselves. They are simply trying to leverage the looks H-D has grown with. The Vision is different. Victory can thank Arlan Ness for that attribute. I believe Ness has pushed Victory to not be a copycat builder but rather a stylish alternative. Vision buyers probably never were a prospect for the Harley Davidson motorcycle or our culture. I can envision the Vision being very popular with the Euro cycle crowd. It's sure not for me but then 40 years ago when my ride of choice was a Hodaka Wombat I sure never thought I'd ever be riding a $35k H-D bagger. Things change and so do people.
