I'm seeing a Orange/Red color on the SEUC.  The color is Canyon Copper, right?  If you've ever been to Utah, some of the canyons out there are almost that exact color, depending on the time of day.

No offense to anyone who already has one, or is getting an 08, but to me they look like a regular Ultra with different paint.  And I really don't care for the way that front fender paint pattern looks.  Say what you want about the leather TP on the 06/07 models, but when you see one, you know it's a CVO.  I'll stick with my 103 too.  With the 04/05/06/07 batwing bikes, there are distinctive things about each of them that sets them completly apart from any other HD in those families.  I just don't see that on the 08.

I see some hints of orange in your pics, especially on the corner of the tourpak.  I agree with Terry.  The thing that separated the CVO Ultras from the regular ultras was the leather tour pak.  The 08's don't look any different than a regular ultra now.  Unless you look close and see it has a 110 and the screamin eagle on the back of the tour pak, you'd never pick it out of the crowd as an ultra.  That's just my opinion, but I'm glad I got the 07.   I haven't had the heat issues with my motor, but then again, I changed everything out right away when I bought the bike.

No heat problems with my 08 SEUC, but I had the pipes changed to V&H Big Shoot Duals before I ever took delivery.  Also had the back-plate changed on the A/C.  The new bike seems cooler than my 02 Ultra.
My 08 oil temp has been averaging around 225.  Checked it yesterday after about a 30 mile ride in 102 degree weather and it was 247.  I am waiting on the SERT or PC to become available for the 08's.  With a SERT or PC and a dyno tune, it should run even cooler.
One other thing, the lowers came off as soon as I got home from the dealer.  Too hot in Oklahoma to run with the lowers.
And, looks orange to me.  Out of direct sun, looks red.  Most of the time I would say it looks orange.

Regardless of color, like Terry, I don't like the paint scheme of the 08 SEUC. The front fender and the way they did the two tone on the lower fairings.....too much cut up/disruption of the paints...IMHO.

Bumpus HD in Memphis had the demo fleet on a Saturday and they moved it to Bumpus HD in Collierville for Sunday.  This was a couple of months ago, but they had the CVOs in that fleet too ('07 bikes).  I rode the SE Dyna, but I recall that they had the Springer, a blue Road King, and I think they had an '07 Ultra Classic.  The SEs in the demo fleet may be a great way for the MOCO to promote them.

The demo rides at Bumpus Memphis were in April.  I found a shot that I took that shows at least three of the SE bikes.

I've zoomed in on the photo and cropped the area with the SE Dyna.  Here it is.

You can see a SE Ultra on the left side of the photo.  It's a black/orange jester.  You can see the orange demo ride warning label on the tank.

It's not as easy to see, but the blue SE Road King shows up.  There is a guy with a black HD vest sitting on the bike.  He's just over the tank of the sportster.

Find out where the demo fleet will be.  There may be more than one on the road.  You might want to confirm that the bike you want to demo is going to be available, but it's a great way to get a ride on the bike that has your interest.  I seem to recall CVOs being available at the demo rides two years ago at Club HOG in Chattanooga, TN.  I just assume that Harley has had CVOs in there demo line up for some time now.

I have seen the bike at Sturgis last week and I can tell you it is Red and no where near an Orange. I own a 07 in Black and thank gosh I was able to get my deposit back on an 08 it was terrible. My 07 has so many more features and the quality is better than the 08's. They took the seat and made it cheap, took the tour pack (leather) and went back to the old style, and went back with a silver finish on the engine. All I heard from people was "Moco saved me money this year"! For all that own the 05, 06 and 07's SEUC your doing great.

I think that I'll apply my deposit toward the extended service plan on my '07 SERK.  With the reported problems on the 110s I'm thinking the extended plan might be a good investment.  Maybe that's what the MOCO had in mind.  The mark-up is probably very high on the extended service plans.  They probably want to sell more plans.
