You guys that installed these yourselves, did you leave the top hole open on the housing that the player mounts to?

Put my MP3 player on today as well...there is a square type rubber plug for the top hole in the kit that you use to plug it...but we siliconed mine.

Yeah, that's probably what I'll do.  I've got a tube of clear silicone that should do the trick.  Will give 2lane a chance to see what he comes up with first, though.

Sounds like you're set, 103.

Have any of you guys switched the player from B(default) to A to make it louder?  I notice it's not as loud as my CD player at the same volume.  Read in the manual you can jack up the volume by changing the A/B switch on the back of the housing....wonder if this degrades sounds quality?

Just curious, anybody looked into relocating the auxillary port so a cable coming out of the inner fairing under the radio isn't necessary? I haven't pulled the radio so I don't know if the aux port is on a circuit board or not.  My thought was to pull the radio, take the housing off, drill a hole big enough to relocat the aux port out the back of the radio or side and then use a black dummy plug on the front of the radio.  If it can't be done, I'll do the jack out the front, but it seems kinda ghetto for the quality of the bike and all to wire it that way.

Thoughts?
