Thanks for the information, that is what I was thinking. I guess I'll leave the bikini top on and just wear my Gerbing heated stuff if I use it here in cold weather. ;D
You know those two days a winter, every other year when the temps get down in the low 40s, isn't really considered cold weather.

I take the two front panels out frequently and I pull the doors off more than my wife thinks is necessary. As far as the top I just use four swing mounts in my garage ceiling and two straps going from front to back and crank it off in as little as 30 min. total by myself. I just leave the back window open and crank it up about 8 inches and drive out from under it. I love the new JK and the hardtop. Bonus you can take the front panels with you and put them in like a bikini top. It locks in without the rear section.

This is another way of lifting it that I read about.  http://jk-forum.com/showthread.php?t=1035

You know the wheels and tires(wheels and tires done) with a lift is just a matter of time!!!!!!!! JEEP Just Empty Every Pocket

hogwander, how do you like the hard top? I have the same 07 jeep but didn't want to spend the extra $$$ on the hardtop. I had a 05 that I removed the top the first day, put a bikini top on and didn't put the real top back on until the day I sold the jeep. So, I didn't think I need the hardtop, now I am thinking of bringing it back to Memphis where we do have a winter and I'm thinking about ordering one from Whitney Online. Do you remove yours? Looks like it would be a real pain to put on and take off.

Mark

Did you take it down bourbon street and "earn" some beads then?  I hope you weren't showing too much cleavage and distracting other responsible motorists......

Yep, the Jeep corp has been very good to the aftermarket supplier industry.  My current Wrangler is a 2003 Rubicon that matches the motorhome and is lifted and I added a WARN (trouble maker) Winch, some rock sliders, Jerry can carriers, custom bumpers with tow hooks/trlr hitch, tow bar.

Trouble maker only because it gives you the piece of mind to go where you know you shouldn't be going.  :huepfenlol2:

My other Jeep is a 78 CJ7 with lift, wheels and tires, WARN etc., 304 V8 (+40 over), RV Cam, Holly 850, Edelbrock manifold, factory 4 speed (rare) as well..............

This is a shot from almost the same location as with the Wrangler, we love getting up there as it tops out on the mountain and you get some great views, RJ got a grouse a couple of years ago on his first shot (in the field) from a new Beretta I got him.

I don't drive the CJ much anymore with the Rubicon in the fleet, but I just can't bring myself to cut it loose either.

If that thing rolls forward, it's a good 6-700 feet straight down from where it is parked.

::) guess who!  Cindy and I were there alone.  I hate stoking a fire so we just piled it on.  Hard to tell in the pic but it wasn't long after the snow melted off so the wood was a bit wet and that monster as I recall may have been a bit punkie.

Still it took us both to roll it into the fire pit.

You should see it when we make a BIG fire............. :bananarock:

How about frying up some lunch?  Onions, fish and potato fry............

Great pics of the Jeeps.  Even the Free Candy love machine is a good pic.  But I can tell you that if I ever have to hike out into the woods and live on my own devices for a while, I want to go with Roger.

By the size of those frying pans, I'm thinking that clean and empty they are hardly able to be lifter. Full of fried food ----- just best be hungry enough to empty them.
