Man, that brings back some memories.  I had a '97 30th for 7 years and then sold it. :wall:  I shoulda kept that car. :zstupid:

Here it is getting ready to hit the road home with it's current owners on the day I sold it :bigcry:

They are nice cars and a lot of fun to drive.  Been thinking about selling this one while the resale is still somewhat up there and get our name on the list for the new 2009 model Z28.   The one we have is sort of rare for the configuration...full auto., no t-tops, white houndstooth/leather interior and white wheels.  I was told less than 650 were produced in that way.   Most of the 30-Annies were t-top & 6 speed.  I think we just turned 42k miles on it....mostly wifey driven and only in good weather months...otherwise she drives the Tahoe.   I also have a 1972 Z28 & the remains of an 87 SS MonteCarlo Aero Coupe...waiting reassembly.  All were ordered/bought brand new.

I could really get going on the "what used to set in your garage".....69 SS Chevelle - 70 W-30 Hurst 442 - 72 Cheyenne Super SWB -.......

Cars, Bikes, & Boats come and go.  I've had some great ones, and will have more great ones.

I can attest to that........69Z28 with a 302....cross ram....4 speed        80 Corvette.....and the list goes on..... :soapbox:

They were super-nice folks and were ecstatic with the condition of the car when they saw it, so it made it somewhat easier.  D@mn, it hurts just to look at the pictures, but what the heck, here's one more for old times sake.  (Guess this should be in a thread called "What used to sit in your garage . . . ??")

Wow - hurts to think about it cars that used to be in the garage...the ones that really hurt are vintage race cars I bought from my father over the years (and sold) ...

How about a 1955 D type XKD536 Jaguar, or a 1963 Corvette Couple - split window, fuel injected, Ron Caplan (Nickey Chevrolet) Purple People Eater Corvette...raced at Sebring in 1964 with Jerry Grant/AJ Foyt driving, or a 1969 Z28 Camaro that won 4 National Championships over the years (one by my father) - orginally built by John Greenwood for GM (I still have some parts off this car), a 1958 Cadillac powered Allard, I could go on and on...

Or my former street cars - all Corvettes - a 1963 coupe, a 1965 coupe, a 1968 convertible, a 1978 coupe, a 1984 coupe, a 1988 convertible, a 1999 convertible...all long since sold...

But now I have this really cool red motorcycle with a brand new motor and... :bigcry:

I see several oil stains under that thing. Wonder if it comes equipped with Harley's 110 motor?   :P :P :P

That old shovel head is 31 years old, and she doesn't leak a drop.

I think the reference was to the scooter.  Is that a 2 stroke?  If it is, it's funny to see oil stains under a bike with no oil in it.
