Anyone own or shot the FN 45 cal tactical. Saw a you tube video and thinking about adding to the full size other than a kimber.

Here is mine. I love this gun. It's a blast to shoot. Very accurate. It's my go to gun in the middle of the night. My only problem so far is that it's hard as hell to get 15 rounds of 45 in the magazine...

I've got a FN 5.7 now and like it. Saw a guy on line shooting one with a Osprey sliencer on it. Very cool, now I need to find one around here for sale.

Any choice on new guns
« Reply #2058 on: December 14, 2012, 05:39:14 PM »

Look guys,
I need a personal unit for Suzie, I have a 9MM and a S&W .40 of my own. I'm going to the gun shop tomorrow for a small framed large cal for Suzie, any suggestions ?

I don't need bear killers, just bad guy killers.

Take Suzie along she needs to tell you what feels good to her, make sure it fits her and that it doesn't kick the crap out her hand. Accuratlly placed shos are extremely effective. Find her a gun she wants to shoot so she gets good at shooting the one you guys pick for her. 9mm is plenty of gun if shots end up where they were meant to land. How far would you get if Suzie shoots you with a few rounds from a 9mm?

My wife carries a Smith and Wesson Ladysmith 357  ---  and sometimes for a smaller carry at work, she carries a Ruger 380 LCP with Crimson trace lazer, which she has a bra holster, pocket holster that makes gun look like a billfold, an in the waistband holster, or an ankle holster, depending on her atire for the day. She is a car salesman for a large dealership ------ you do not want to f*#k with her on a test drive!!

Just sold a LCP 380. I found it horribly inaccurate over ten yards. Replaced it with the S&W bodyguard 380. I know these 380's are not supposed to be a long range gun but the S&W is much better than the LCP up to about 25 yards. Just my .02$

Double action S &W .38 special...Never jams, fit her small palm, knock down power, very concealable.  As good as it gets.

Yep.  Far better than the LCP and many other of the pocket 380's.

Wife wanted and LCP cause all her friends had one.  So she borrowed and LCP and I have a friend with the Sig.  After 10 rounds she was tired of the LCP, she shot 40 out of the Sig P238.  She changed her mind and wanted the sig.

I knew the LCP was not fun to shoot like the Sig.

I believe if you carry, you need to shoot what you carry, and shoot it very well, and often.

Yes, it is a good bit more money than the LCP, but it is a good bit more gun.

My wife loves her.  Exactly the one pictured, with night sights.

She is deadly with it.  At 15 yards she can take the bullseye out of the target, just one big whole.
