BINGO! :2vrolijk_21: I agree, when pulled over anywhere for any reason, that is the first thing out of my mouth. In some instances (Fl. HP for one) the officer asked as soon as he approached the vehicle but if they don't ask, tell them.
I carry either a Beretta M9 or a S & W (J frame) "Centennial" 357 always, bike or car, trips and locally. I have both a CWP and a county reserve deputy badge and ID, I've never had a problem traveling but as I said above, the first words out of my mouth are to state that I am carrying whenever I am pulled over. For many years I carried the S & W inside the pants belt clip but with age has come more than a few extra pounds and it became too uncomfortable. Now either ankle in summer or the rest of the year, in coat.
Interesting topic, glad you brought it up Chief. :2vrolijk_21:

Excellent points here..and with HR218, I can carry anywhere..... my question is more along the lines of where you carry?  Waistband seems impractical on the bike...  I have a crotch holster which in theory works on the bike.. it just the thought of a loaded gun pointed at the boys that slows me down on that one...i've done the vest/ jacket pocket carry, but i find that even my G27 is too freakin heavy to do that with..appreciate your input

If so, what do you do when you travel?

:indian_chief:

Para Ordnance P14-45 / Sig Sauer P 245 Notify the different Counties and Sherriffs prior to traveling I will be traveling. Being retired from the job (ATF), I don't have any problems.

Anyone got any good ideas how I can pack my Dad's Winchester Model 70 Super grade on LD ? Just kidding,  ;D I do want to get out and shoot a few rounds with it.  Last I knew, Dad had it dialed in around 300-400yds. The B&L scope is a monster. I sighted it in at my house yesterday and could read the label on the beer my neighbor a 1/2 mile away was drinking.Talked to Hank about going out too the desert to dial it in again soon. I'd like to see if I can still keep a clip in the black at 400yds. Dad taught me that when I was a teenager. Can't shoot a handgun worth a chit, but a nice rifle with a scope is a thing of beauty. Anyone know where I can get some hypervelocity .270-140 grain rounds. I know Winchester makes the ammo, but not in hypervelocity.

HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, this family lives down the street with a couple of twin daughters about 19 years old and ........... didn't mean to say that with my out loud voice. ;D ;D

Was just looking at the specs on both the G36 and the G27. I am surprised to see the G27 is lighter. I have been reluctant to spend the $$$ for a new Glock since I have had both the Beretta and S & W for many years. Wish I had not read this thread, there goes some of my chrome $$$.
Also if you go to http://www.glockworld.com/holsters.htm
there is quite a selection of holsters. :2vrolijk_21:

I can see it now.

The group goes to dinner.

When finished we walk back outside to leave.

Someone is in the process of stealing one of our bikes.

All of a sudden 15 guns pointed at his chest.

Think he would get the message?

Yeah Chip, but the shot that drops him comes from ??????  There's a hole between his eyes about ._ _ _ in diameter that exits the back of his skull about the same diameter.

Course this is just campfire talk - - - - right ?
