LR, I got to handle a Rohrbaugh at the Tulsa show last fall.  Really nice, but since we have no dealers in OK, we've got to find someone to get one sent to.  Maybe somebody will have one at the spring show.

Do you have any idea about the price tag?

Utah permit is honored in 31 states now. We have an instructor that teaches a Oregon/Utah CWP training class the second Sat of every month
in Clackamus. $70.00 for an all day class. Even though my DD214 shows my handgun competency I thought it couldn't hurt
to brush up on the laws and restrictions. PM me if you want the guys email. He's an NRA instructor with Utah training certificate.

The used one I looked at was $900, but I probably could have bought it for $800, maybe $750- if I'd have known what it truly was I would have bought it, just didin't know at the time.  New they're about $950 depending on the model.

I'm curious....what caliber would be your preference?

i prefer a .40SW, maybe a .45

we all know the 9mm has a bad rep for stopping power...   some earned some not..

a recent example...  NYSP is finally dumping the 9 for a 45...

its all about personal preference....i just dont trust the 9

on the other hand...  even my compact .40 is friggin heavy...  so its a trade off

even a 9 or a .380 carried  is better than the .45 sitting at home cuz its too heavy

hows that for a mixed message?

How about a Stainless PPK?  I used to have one...operation was always flawless, and it was pretty small.  With the HP silvertips, it would explode watermelons... ::) :huepfenlol2:

All I've got now is a couple of .38's...one is the S&W Titanium hamerless.  It's light and easy to carry.  Hopefully, I'll never have to use it, but if I do, I figure I won't be shooting any glass, but something more like a watermelon...and won't be too far away... :nervous:

I totally agree that any gun that works is better than having no gun.  Better to have a derringer than nothing.  I'm partial to my .45, but carry smaller often due to size/weight.  Even snake shot will work if 'placement' is accounted for... :-X...spyder

Scott

I carry a Sig 229 in 357Sig.
Works great on the range, never used it on anything that could shoot back!
Not yet anyway, and hope I don't have to.
Any thoughts on the 357Sig?
