"Inferno" Gets A New Home
« on: October 04, 2007, 02:14:50 AM »

Finally!!! After what seemed like several months of searching, I finally brought home my Inferno Orange Springer today. I got the call this morning that my bike was ready to be picked up so I abruptly left work to drive 460 miles round trip to bring it home. I already have my list of "things" that I need and one of my local dealers if having their annual 25% off sale this Friday...just in time! Anyhow, here is the homecoming picture of "Inferno" my 2008 FXSTSSE2 CVO Springer. Yes, I parked it in my office so I can drool over it at work tomorrow. I will have some more pictures when the weather clears up.........rain is in the forecast at least for the next 10 days, ugh! The Inferno Orange color is spectacular and the bike looks much better than the pictures posted on the web. The owner of the dealership that I bought the bike from said "if I had seen that bike at the dealer show, it wouldn't have made it to the sales floor". I am glad that he didn't see it at the dealer show or I would still be looking for my bike!

Congrats on the new ride.  I've had the black and candy version for about 6 weeks and absolutely love it.  I hope you can squeeze in some ride time soon between rainstorms!

I saw this bike at the convention center in Rapid City this summer.  It was the most striking one in their entire display.  Congrats and enjoy.

Good looking bike, maybe you can get out Friday or Sat between our down pours. If you get up our way (Salem to Grand Ronde 32 miles) when riding let us know Terry is always open for riding. :orange: :2vrolijk_21: :carrot:

Thanks for the Congrats Cyphers, IROAR and Mrs. Rooster. :2vrolijk_21: Cyphers, I checked out a Black/Candy CVO Springer a few weeks ago...very nice! Mrs. Rooster, I'll keep you and Terry in mind if I make it out that way. Hwy 22/18 are not on my favorite roads list...just a bit too much constant traffic for me - 37.8 miles, about 1 hour from my house according to google maps.

Congrats mi amigo Ken......finally you got it........I knew today that I will receiving mine until the week of 22th of this month according to Federal Transport. It's standing on the floor at the dealer in Paducah, KY. It's paid and ready to be picked it up. But I am in Colombia and coming back on 15th. Not time to go there and pick it up...working for a couple of days and heading to Daytona Beach....

I don't  see the time to have it.......tell me what goodies you haveon mind......what exhaust you decide to put it.......

Again, glad that you are happy...enjoy and send more pics.

Best Regards,

Jorge

Well, I got out between rain showers last night and put about 100 miles on the Springer. It seems there is a vibration during acceleration, could this just be the feel of torque? Both my Road King and Low Rider have very smooth acceleration, the Springer seems to have a vibration during acceleration. Anyone else experience this on their CVO bike?

I've got about 1100 miles on a 2 month old FXSTSSE2 and have had no such vibration.  Engine pulls hard, steady and smooth up to 5500rpm.  (It feels like that is where the rev limiter kicks in.)

Congrats on the new ride.  It looks great in that color.  I love my Springer.

Haven't had any bad vibes on mine, so I can't help there.

Well, I easily put the first 500 miles on Inferno and dropped it off at the dealer for a facelift and the 1st service checkup. I was hoping to get it back within a few days, but the Wild1 WO510 handlebars and WO531 risers require longer cables and wouldn't you know they are special order and have a two week lead time. I guess that I will have to put some miles on the Road King and the Low Rider while I wait to get Inferno back home - they have been getting lonely anyhow. I will post some pictures of the new and improved Inferno in a few weeks.

Waiting to see how looks with the new handlebars...I received mine last week.......no chance to ride but from the dealer to home......
