Congrats on your new Zumo, Henry!  :2vrolijk_21:

Considering one myself and Zumo appears to be the best system from everything I read.

I suffer from CRS and PACR (p!ssed away, can't remember) and figure the GPS could remember for me. Hard wiring it to the bike as Terry suggested is the way I plan to install it as well.  Plan to use it in other vehicles also.

Keep us posted on it - reading here gets more & more expensive....... :huepfenjump3:

Concur.  Unlike Terry, I didn't list all my CVO expenditures on a spreadsheet.............I don't wanna know!  For one thing, I'm having too much fun doin' this stuff, and I'm afraid if I did know............well................we won't go there.  Suffice it to say...........I'm po!   ;D

I'm po too.  Better not count your money until the playings done, as the old song goes.

On the Jester, it is not so much about chrome as planned electronics purchases.  Also planning to make the tour pack removable (new amp, new speakers, etc., etc......).

Don't forget about your engine!!!!!  Dennis ain't far from you, and he's very good at his craft.  I bet he can implement the GMR fix for 110ci engines to your Jester.

So far the engine has been rock solid. Since I no longer race bikes, and that was at LEAST a hunnert years ago, I tend to leave the engines uncracked until absolutely necessary.  GMR does appear to offer good way to go though, if needed.

The only other thing I did was went to a local fastener store w/the screws that hold the Zumo mount to the Techmount and got some shorter screws. You can see the difference in these two posts - stock screws and short screws.

Or......if you're impatient like I am, you can just cut the screws off instead of going to the store.  :P spyder

That'll work too. :2vrolijk_21:

However w/my limited tool box I would've had to go out and purchase a hacksaw (or something to cut it with), vise, and file to debur. I took the easy way out. ;D

Enter the Dremel Tool.  What a wonderful invention.  No self respecting Harley Rider should be without one.  I recently picked up a new one complete with about a gozillion attachments.  I plan to use a cutting wheel to cut the screws, then back off the nuts, which should rethread the cut edges.

I break/destroy more stuff w/just a screwdriver and wrench I'd probably kill myself w/a power tool. :nervous:
