Also have a spot on the right lower where it's been rubbing. When I re-install it, I am going to make sure it's as outboard as it can be and hopefully keep it from rubbing further.
So much for thinking it was limited to the right lower . . . when I went to clean the left one up before re-installing today, it was scuffed, as well. I was able to move each of them outboard, probably 1/8" on the bottom. The right one I got another only another 1/8" or so outward on top, but the left one is a good 3/8" farther outboard on top now. All the scuffs polished out with Glare Spider, so no big deal, but I don't know if the movement I got out of the right lower will be enough to keep it from happening again - it was pretty far outboard to start with.
The leading edge of the lowers now have a very slight "V" shape when looking at them head-on, so they are not quite square in the engine guard, but you have to be looking at it to know it. If that keeps the rubbing from happening again, I can live with that.
