If this is in the wrong area, someone please move it. Thanks in Advance.

I just got a call from Barry. His 18 y/o son Josh had a bad car wreck this morning and is still in surgery. He's got some broke bones in his neck. As of right now, he can't move his legs. Barry sounded really concerned. I tried and give him some confidence that young kids snap out of things like this quicker than us old guys. I can only imagine how he feels.

He asked that the CVO web site members, esp JR, keep Josh in their prayers. Let's pray he has a fast, speedy & full recovery.

I'm so sorry to hear about this.  

HB is right in the respect that these young'uns can bounce back from injuries like this.  Paralysis like this is often temporary and can go away when the swelling subsides.

My prayers for Josh, Barry on the whole family.

Ken...please tell Barry that Terry and Suzanne are hoping for the best and will have he and his family in our thoughts.  I'm sure things will be fine when the surgery is done and all the swelling is down.  Give them our love...

Sorry to hear about this!  Barry lives in my area and we planned on going riding next time he was up here in Louisville, so I never had the opportunity to meet him yet.

While in Iraq, I was shot twice in the back then falling off a third story building and fractured T10, T11, T12, and fractured C7 in my neck, tore my shoulder out during the fall.  I have had 14 surgeries and am really only about 50% of what I was, I suffer from partial paralysis to my right side.  

I can only hope for a successful outcome for his son, hopefully he will be as fortune as I was.
