PS  when i picked my bike up from the dealer it rained for 3 days so i used 3 of your pics. to e-mail my buddies pics. of my new bike.  176 of 1800.

I was running Screaming Eagle Pro Mufflers (65115-98B) on my 2007 110 and it also ran fine until hot weather hit in mid summer. As the 100 degree weather set in it would ping when engine got really hot in traffic and such.  On my 2008 I am going to use the same mufflers for winter riding but will install FuelPak and big sucker this spring when V&H comes up with the map.

Mc,                                                                                                that's how i had it figured.  lucky to get my bike after summer.  have wondered how it will do in august in Texas, or on a cross desert trip at 100+o.  checked my plugs after 300 mi. an they looked acceptable, (dark bottom and med. grey tip) but thats at 75-85 degree outside temp.  am sure i will get some sort of tuner & dyno after 1,000 mi. to make sure of , at least the A/Fuel mix.  probably a full SERT & dyno to get all i can out of the engine, and have it set for a long, strong, life..

Jackie, I like the front fender trim.  Do you have a part number for it?

PS, welcome to the site from western, NY

Sounds good.  I just hate lean mixture and Harley sure sets them up that way to meet EPA. I have always been able to "seat of the pants" tune a carb engine to near perfection but FI is another story. Will pick my 105th up in the morning and post number. Have a good one.

 J.    the front fender trim is not a harley part.  it comes from a site called
eglidegoodies.com  seems like it was 29.00 without looking it up. good thing, besides being different, is that it sticks on. no holes in fender. instalation time (30 seconds). everbody, check out this site. he has some good items.  right now i have doors with chrome turn knobs coming to replace those stupid leather, 4 button flaps on the lower farings.  jackie

Picked up #308 last evening. Paint perfect, well pleased.  Will post pics when I return from untimely business trip.  Heavy fog today after three days of rain.  Hope to get out for a few hours prior to leaving on business.  Stayed up late and added Screaming Eagle Pro Mufflers with my own baffle design, chrome inner primary cover, trans cover, headlight and driving light hoods, 12' Windshield and chrome slotted trim, front fender 105th emblem, passenger grab rails along with Kuryakyn floorboard mounts and adjustable foot pegs and a few other things that I am too fuzzy to remember.  Look forward to a sunny day.

Here's my '08.  It has 400 miles so far, no problems yet (except the cover doesn't fit which we already all know).  The last three VIN digits are 352.
