Topic: Otis is in the Hospital and could use some prayers (Read 12632 times)

All,

Just found out Otis is in Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton West Virginia in room 318. He is having some issues with his Kidneys. They are not sure if he will be staying at this hospital more than over night than moving to a another hospital suited to help him with his kidneys. My understanding is his kidenys are operating at about 25 percent. Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

Carl, is it something to do with the diabetes? Or something else? Or are the docs even clued in enough to have a good idea yet?

I visited OTIS again this morning, and found him in better health.

It appears they discovered a small kidney stone, (2mm), and possibly a virus he may have contacted. All in all, Mrs. OTIS has decided to keep him in this Hospital until Monday, as the Doctors have convinced her he is improving. Thanks for all the Prayers. Hey Otis,

Its geezerglide, I just noticed this thread, hope everyting is better.

I had Kidney pain on March 27 coming back from Phoenix to Calgary, pain was terrible, had to stop at the Emergency Ward in St. George Utah, advised had Kidney Stone passing, told me it would take from a week to a month to pass, gave me pain killers and sent me on my way.

Pain stopped with medication and then stopped completely without any drug, thought Stone had passed. Boy was I mistaken on May 23 the pain came back with avenges. Admitted to Hospital where next morning they performed an Ureteroscopy (Basket Extraction) woke up and an hour later they sent me home, so since May no more problems.

Otis lets hope its just a Kidney Stone and they will Roto Rooter it out and you will be all better.

I want to thank everyone for your kindness and concern. I got home yesterday after 6 days in the hospital and only feel slightly better than I did when I was admitted. They found a small kidney stone but said I should pass it. They also found that my kidneys were only functioning at 25 to 30%. Both these issues are to be handled once I got out of the hospital. I have both a Urologist and a Nephrologist. Both said these were problems, but should not have made me as sick as I was and am. So, really don't know a whole lot right now. Your prayers and concern means a lot to me. I didn't realize I had so many friends. I will be going back to the doctor next Tuesday so maybe I will know more after that.

Glad to see that you were able to go home. Try to follow the doctor's orders and get well soon. Like many others here have said, keep looking for answers and don't stop asking until you get everything figured out, then ask some more questions! And to squash any stirrings of the pot (Harry). The picture above with Otis a little ahead of the Frontier will most likely be repeated when I'm on the SERG.

Jody at Tilley's tells me that you're out and doing better. Sure hope the treatments will get you back up to speed (you, that is...I know the scooter is always up to speed). He still won't say what he did to your motor. We'll make a WV run when the weather improves. Rabbi

Rabbi, Otis is always asking us to jump over the mountains and head his way. When you and Spyde come North, we should go West and all get to ride with him. Good to see you posting.
