Duracell vs. pine squirrel
« on: November 20, 2007, 04:02:04 PM »

My first road kill on my new bike occurred yesterday in Custer State Park.  Although the beast was mighty -probably weighed almost a pound!- I was able to keep my cool.  Unflinchingly struck the brute at 35 mph!
[Actually just a slight bump, like running over an empty beer can.]  -Do I now qualify for some special patch or something?  Otherwise my story could morph for all my buds at the VFW to "some large animal, probably a mountain lion or something".  I could talk about going in a ditch and blah, blah, blah.   :huepfenlol2:

Steve,
To fully qualify for a road kill patch down south we have to include a recipe, and a photo of the squirrel dumpling meal.

Muley and Twincam are spot on, but in Alabama we have the added requirement of riding the bike for a week with whatever remnants of the animal that got on the bike still on the bike.   :huepfenjump3: :huepfenlol2:

Better check under the motor to be sure it's not hidin' in the "Dead Cat" area of underside of the engine... ;)

Sometimes you just have to call "BS."  Ride for a week with remains?  Henry, you wash off the shadows from the bike next to your bike!

Thus the requirement.................so sick bastages who like watchin' sick bastages lose their minds can get a good belly laugh................It's a right of passage.........one I'm proud to say I've conquered many years ago............long before my current psychosis manifested itself...........which is probably why I am the way I am.

One of the cool things about when Henry and I are in the same place is that my voices can talk to his voices while I'm talking to him; all at the same time.  If we had Iski and Howie in the same room I think we'd be a platoon :huepfenlol2: :drink: .

Yes, and if we found out that we are sharing some of the same voices, it'd be even weirder.   :huepfenjump3:

I have no idea, but my sister is schooled to the nth level in pyschobabble.  No way will I ask her or anyone else since one of my voices just told me that I never had this conversation anyway.   :confused5:

Tell me about it.  Schoolin' makes the voices more prevalent.  I remember WAAAAAAAAAAY back in the day......a scant 7 years after fielding of the Army's current utility helicopter..............flying with a relatively young PIC.  When queried as to our location, he looked at the Doppler and responded "Well, I just passed my present position."   :huepfenlol2:  Another one for books of aviation faux pas.
