Added kahuna heated grips to the Mako yesterday.  With the help of the great video from hdvibe on YouTube , the install went really well. Something I wanted to do for a while.  They do get nice and toasty too. 👍Stuart

Did a 3 hole oil change.

Then on the warm up and check trip I broke a throttle cable.....again. Happened 2 years ago as well. I believe my cables for the 04 are discontinued too so its a bear trying to get them.

That stinks, at least you weren’t out on a long trip in the middle of nowhere.  You’ll probably have to go aftermarket to get the cables but there are better quality than OEM out there.  My only advice is lube the hell out of those cables every time you can.

Ya it was fun hand operating the throttle body to the house but I made it! lol

Honestly I did not know I should lube those! I'm sure that would help! Thank you for the advice.

Hope it never happens again but if it does, you can swap the return (don’t know if that’s the proper term for it) cable over to the throttle side, just to get you home.
