HELP! Need pics 06 FLSTFSE2
« on: December 15, 2008, 08:39:14 PM »

I recently purchased my first CVO, an 06 FLSTFSE2. The guy I purchased it from has made some changes to the front end of the bike, new handle bars, changed the head light and removed the turn signals. I have most of the original parts but could use some pictures of the front end. I would like some from both the front and sitting on the seat so
I can start putting the bike back to a more stock look. I will post pics bike and of the work in progress.

Thanks,

Randy

I have a 2005 SE Fat Boy. I believe the front is identical, with the exception of the paint.
Here is a front shot. My headlight has the trim visor, but it is the SE stock headlight. My signals have been changed some, but they are in the right spot.

Thanks, I appreciate the pictures. This will be a big help. It is like putting a jigsaw puzzle together without the box top.

One more thing, where do the turn signals bolt on? Is there a seperate clamp or do they mount to the underside of the brake and clutch.

Thanks again,

Randy

It attaches with one bolt, to the bottom of the hand grip area. I took a picture in my garage, so it came out a bit dark. My bike is clean, but the picture makes it look dirty.

Thanks so much for all your help. This will not be as bad as I first thought. He does have all the parts except the handle bars and they are in good shape.

Come on Aussie, help the guy out a little bit.

There are supplemental Parts and Service books available just for our bikes. I have found them to be very helpful. You can get them from your dealer for around $20.00 each

Supplemental Parts book #99430-05
Supplemental Service book #99494-05

Good luck,

Mike

That is correct but I have both the 99430-05 & 99430-06 to cover both models as my bike is both an 05 & 06!

Thanks guys. I do appreciate the help and info. I saw one of these books on ebay and was wondering if I needed to buy. I think this has answered that question, I'll order it tonight. This guy really butchered the bike, cut the tach wires off, cut the turn signal wires. It will take a while to fix it the right way, but hey it's cold out....what ya gonna do? Get it ready for spring..

Thanks again,

Randy
