Thought about not posting because of the mess.............but it is amazing to me how fragile the plane is.

Hard to know for sure after the fact Rog.  But that last photo especially looks retouched.  Even if not, however, a full grown American Bald Eagle can be as big as 15 pounds (the things we remember from high school).  If a 12-15 pound solid projectile happened to hit right on a service or access panel you'd not expect it to hold.  The pilot might or might not have added his own residue to the mess but the old aircraft kept right on flying; even with bird guts all over the buss.

I've seen you ride Ernie, and your not slow.  And whenever I've seen a snake on the road, I am almost standing on my seat trying to get away from them.  I don't really like them that much.

A turkey ran into the lower fairing on my bike on it's maiden voyage home from the dealership.  I was following behind the bike and what I saw was a whole lotta shaking going on low down on the bike and then all of a sudden, a completely plucked turkey came shooting out from the bike.  Looked like one of those rubber chickens of gag and slapstick comedy prop.

Candy I have one of those little hairless screamin chickens on the top of my billet radio antenna on my SEEG. I'll have Helen post a pic soon. His name is "Soupy" because I like chicken soup.  ;D

I thought it real at first glance,............then your post.  Pay attention to the detail.  That's you, everytime, Twolane.  Guess that's why you make the "Big Bucks', huh?  ;) Later--HUBBARD

I thought it real at first glance,............

Those first two are better work.  Perhaps a couple of tell tales.  That last one though... Not as well done.  Don't trust it at all.  Too lazy to actually break them down and look.  With the last one don't think it's really necessary though.

One "tell" on that pic of the eagle is for some reason (???) its head & beak are unscathed.  Last time I saw an eagle flying, their head & beak are forward, so would logically be the primary point of impact.

Had a HUGE wild turkey fly over our heads yesterday evening.  Not a very graceful flyer, - glad it could fly as high as it could.

Same thing with the geese that winter in the Skagit Valley north of here, you wouldn't want to run into one of them.

We get swans too, not sure these will show but they'd be a real problem.  Dang camera phone anyway.

Lots of geese & swans!

We are on a waterfowl flyway here - lots of geese - mostly Canadian.  Lakeland, Florida is known for its swans in its downtown lake - not close to where I live - very graceful but messy.

No hunting season for geese here - we have an abundance of them:

Have not seen any swans for awhile - used to see some deer hunting occasionally.

It's illegal in this state, but heard it might be ok in Tennessee.  :nixweiss:

I do have a pic of a cat hunting a deer though:

A good friend of mine hit a cow that got lose and ran into a ditch in TN.  Hurt him pretty bad and of course no damage to the cow.
