We have a blast on them.
Put them on the dyno after we got them.
Guess how much horsepower?
Not enough to spin the drum and get a reading.
They are the most fun I ever had going slow!

 :2vrolijk_21:

I'm sure they're a lot of fun, especially if you have a good place to ride them.

Took it to the car wash today (still on water restrictions).
Brought it home and waxed 1/2 of it. (that's a big beech to wax)
Bob (Tbone) made me jealous when he said he "Glared" his so I had to put a little wax on mine.
Let me ask this of you.
I'm out of room so it has to stay outside so how do you keep yours clean?
A big "Northern Tool tarp seems a little tacky and may invite condensation.
How do you protect the finish on yours?

Chip,

I keep mine under a carport that I had built onto my motorcycle play house, I took mine to a detailer after I bought it and had a real hard coat of wax applied to it. I was told that it would be easy to keep clean. I have pulled it over 6,000 miles and it cleans up real ez.

For what its worth, Thats what I did

S/B and T-Bone-

Now that you have the aluminum fenders polished, seal them with Sharkhide and they will look like that for many years.  Sharkhide is a clear sealer made for aluminum pontoons to keep them looking like new.

All you have to after polishing is clean fenders with lacquer thinner to take off the oils and apply Sharkhide with a soft lint free cotton cloth such as a baby diaper.     www.sharkhide.com

Just a thought unless you like polishing all the time.

NICE FIND CHIP :2vrolijk_21:

Skycuse

I hate it when you post!
Then I see that great looking bike you have.
Then I remember I'm on restriction.
Then I think well maybe she will believe dOOd made me buy another bike.
Did you know there's a bike just like yours (not as nice) on Ebay!
I know cause it's on my watched items list.
Just gotta wonder how much I can blame on dOOd?

Chip I must have missed it, but what did you use on the fenders to get them that way?

I have an aluminum boat trailer that drives me crazy every time I look at how ugly the I beams are

Chip,

I'm finding I missed a lot of things while in the mountains for the holidays.  Great looking trailer.

For the short term and to avoid the moisture issue Brian mentioned with a tarp you might want to consider a Travel Trailer/Motorhome cover that is used for storing RV's.  They seem to breath enoguh to avoid the moisture being driven into a painted surface and protect against the UV issue as well.

On another front, I am hauling 6 bikes to Arizona for some guys up here in May when we all go to Sedona.  I need to lay out the 24 foot Featherlite with Condors or the like and I saw the set up in your trailer.  Anyone have a pic of a bigger trailer and the layout for a bunch of baggers (chocks/tie down points etc)?

I can't help on a picture, but basically I drew out the trailer floor plan on my garage floor to size, put my bikes in it and figured what was needed as far as Condor and tie down placement and then went to the trailer.

I highly recommend the Condor chalks.

Good idea on the garage floor layout.  I have a friend that had a 24 foot with the Condors, I like them a lot and most likely will go that way.  Each guy is paying me $600.00 for the haul, so I figure I can break out on the cost to set up the trailer.

I've been considering selling my current one and getting a new one, this one is 6 years old and has around a 100k on it.  You really can't tell it other than the usual wear and tear you get with many different employees using it.

May is getting closer than we think though so I better get moving on it or I'll be in the garage the night before we leave finishing it up.

Roger-

The best place I have found the Condor's is a small company on Ebay that sells them from the East coast (I think NJ) .  They also have the D rings and backing plates for the d rings.

I replaced those usless pingles with Bike-Pros in my Edge.  They were a little cheaper but not as nice as the condors.  They have worked fine for over a year now and I like the ride into and hop off thing.
