Bad, I just realized something important.  Without regard to the girl on the Sportsters riding skills (or lack thereof) she was still a girl on a Harley.  So that means you left out one very important detail.  Was she cute? [smiley=laugh.gif]

Y'know something else just realized that her targeting skills illustrated.  That old axiom about look where you're going and not at what you're trying to avoid.  Because you'll go where you're looking.  

She probably saw you in front of her.  Focused like a laser beam on your back fender thinking all the while "don't hit it don't hit it don't hit it."  And then drove to exactly the point she was looking at.  

I know it's not at all funny.  And it's good you're taking it as you are.  But I'm just really glad (for you and for her and for both bikes) that she didn't try to drive a foot farther than she did.

(And, just for the record, I'm guessing she was cute.  After all, a guy would get a lot crankier if someone ugly hit him [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] )

Okay, so now you've got me thinkin' about the SUBTOFT problem, and I'm stuck here at work, and I don't remember seeing it at all...   Maybe the real answer would be a larger L-Plate frame that just covers the thing up?  I'll dig around in the woodpile when I get home and see if I can post a picture of a better idea...
